Sustainability

We care for our employees as well as society and comply with laws and all other regulations that apply to our business. We do this through active initiatives related to quality, environmental issues, working environment and safety. Our vision is a company that manufactures world class gas detectors with the next generation in mind. So - what are we doing in our daily work?

The sustainability policy runs through our entire organisation and is characterised in our daily operations by social sustainability, economic sustainability and ecological sustainability. We care for our employees as well as society and comply with laws and all other regulations that apply to our business. We do this through active initiatives related to quality, environmental issues, working environment and safety.

Our focus areas

  •  Within quality and safety: to meet internal and external customers’ expectations through continuous improvements.
  •  Within environment: minimise our impact through low resource consumption and by complying with laws, customer requirements and certificate guidelines.
  • Within working environment: zero vision for occupational injuries and an beeing a Great Place to Work for our employees.

"Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs."

- This is the definition of sustainable development from the UN.

“For me, sustainability is to find smarter ways to house hold with the availbile resources. This is done by innovation of products and processes, taking ownership and action of our own responsability and finally to collaborate with others to make a tangable impact."

Sustainability Policy – Alder

Our ownership perspective is long-term and our moral compass is important. We are careful to meet customers, suppliers and employees in a respectful way and contribute positively to the local community in which we operate.

Excerpts from the policy:

We have integrated sustainability into our business model and into the strategies and operations of our portfolio companies. This policy describes our framework for responsible investments, what we expect from our portfolio companies, and how we will support them in their sustainability work – “The Alder Way”.

The purpose of this policy is to provide guidance on how sustainability work should be conducted, of which sustainability must have a clear link to business development and value-creating processes within the portfolio companies.
